-
What if my dog is shy? We've designed some fun leashed activities for shy dogs, like Pawrents walks and leashed hangouts. Be sure to check out these events!
-
What if I am shy?All the conversations are guided. We have designed prompts to help you navigate through your discussions smoothly. We understand! We believe face-to-face interactions are the best and most efficient way because: Vibe Check: You want to meet the person who will take care of your dog to build trust. Dog Check: It's essential to see if your dog gets along with their dog.
-
What if I couldn't find a match? We match you with at least 5 other dog parents, so the odds of finding a dog-sitting swap are pretty good! While the decision to look after your dog is ultimately up to the other pawrents, and we can't guarantee results, we believe in the power of face-to-face connections. Enjoy meeting other dog parents and making new friends!
-
Can I bring a plus one?Yes, you can bring a plus one. But no kids, please, as some dogs in the park might be reactive to children.
-
What if I am unhappy with the event? If you attended the event and are unhappy with the outcome, simply contact us, and we will issue a refund!
-
What if my dog has serious behavioral issues?Unfortunately, this event is designed for friendly dogs as you will interact with other dogs and dog parents. We may host some events for reactive dogs in the future.
-
What's the cancellation/no-show policy?Due to the nature of our events, every turnout is critical to the success and experience of all participants. We do not provide refunds, and cancellations are non-refundable.

How does Pawrents work?Pawrents is a members-only dog-sitting swap community. To start your 30-day free trial, you need to apply for membership, which includes a background check and LinkedIn verification. Once approved, you will join a cohort and be matched with a group of 5-8 compatible local dog parents. Together, you’ll participate in a series of events to help build genuine connections and lasting friendships – for both you and your dog. Your membership includes one year of access to our digital community and unlimited future events. [View more here]
-
How do you ensure the trust & safety in the community?Your pup’s safety is our top priority. We implement trust and safety in four main ways: Background checks and LinkedIn verification for all new members. In-person events: Every new member must join a cohort. Cohort members leave reviews for each other, and we maintain a strict one-strike-and-you're-out policy. Profile transparency: You’ll be able to view other members’ profiles, social media information, and reviews on our platform. Meet-and-greet: We suggest a meet-and-greet before each swap to ensure you and your dog are comfortable with each other.
-
How do I join? Please submit your application here. Pawrents reserves the right to reject any membership applications to maintain a secure and trusted environment for our members. Once approved, you will join the upcoming cohort.
-
How does the credit system work?Boarding costs credits, while hosting earns them—1 day equals 1 credit. You can swap care with the same dog parent or host one dog to earn credits and request boarding from another. Premium Membership starts with 5 credits and allows a one-time negative credit balance. Standard Membership starts with 2 credits.
-
How much does it cost to join? We’re currently offering a special membership rate of $99 or $79 for the first year with 30-day free trial. For full details on membership pricing and tiers, you can [view more here].
-
How much does it cost per trip?No nightly fees! Just pay the flat yearly membership fee and swap dog sitting as much as you want. Start your 30-day free trial here.
-
What if I can’t find a match? You’ll be matched with 5-8 local dog parents in your cohort, based on your profile. If you’re unsatisfied with your group, you can join a future cohort. In rare cases where we are unable to match you with a cohort, you’re eligible for a refund. We have built a thriving community, and match rates have been pretty amazing.
-
What if I don't have enough credits?Upon purchasing your membership, you'll receive a starting balance of 2 or 5 credits. Hosting earns credits, while boarding costs credits. Premium members can go negative once per year. While our main focus is on dog-sitting swaps, we understand that unforeseen situations may arise, and you may need urgent credits. Additional credits can be purchased at $30 per credit.
-
Is there a limit to how long each boarding can be?There’s no limit, as long as you have enough credits! Some members have arranged care for trips over two weeks. For extended stays, you may need to split the days between different hosts.
-
How do I make sure another dog is a good fit? There are a few ways to ensure compatibility: Each member creates a detailed profile on Pawrents.dog, where you can learn about the dog's behavior, care instructions, and read reviews from others. You'll get to know other members through a series of events with your cohort. We highly recommend a meet-and-greet before each swap to confirm compatibility. Afterward, you can choose to accept or decline the help offer based on the interaction.
-
Can I still join if I don’t have a dog?Unfortunately not. At the heart, our community is all about dog parents helping each other.
-
What if I have multiple dogs? You’ll need a membership for each dog, but don’t worry—any additional memberships after the first are 50% off!
-
How do I contact you if I have more questions? You can easily book a meeting with ushere.
