May 4th, 2024 - Dog Yoga Fundraiser

Pawrents has partnered with Tru Fusion to raise funds for California Doodle Rescue, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to support dogs in need.

🧘 Dog yoga: 1 hr vinyasa flow specially designed for you and your pup. Dog lovers without a dog are welcome, too! 

🐶  Market: After the yoga session, a bustling market will feature vendors dedicated to all things dog-related! 🛍️

⭐May the 4th Be With You:  Dress up as your favorite Star Wars characters, and don't forget to include your pup!

🧃Social: Pawrents social before and after the event. 

🎁 Free gifts: Spin the wheel for free dog toys and accessories.

Corgi meetups are back! All of our events are held outdoors, with safety guidelines according to state and city mandates.

May 3rd, 2024 - Feel Good Fridays

Get ready to kick off your weekends with immaculate vibes, because SPARK Social SF is bringing the party to you!

We’re thrilled to announce Feel Good Fridays- an exciting lineup of interactive experiences and a fun, lively ambiance that’ll make us your go-to destination every Friday from 4pm-7pm.

This is a great park with open space and real grass to run on! Let's meet at 10:30. There is a water fountain for the dogs. The entrance is on Vale ave. off of Sloat blvd. go down the hill and there is usually ample parking. See everyone there.

Join the largest beagle meetup group in America! Our group is about meeting other beagle lovers in the SF Bay Area and letting the beagles play together.

We meet to let our dogs play and the humans discuss happy tales as well as problems or issues. We learn from others who have lived with the breed longer. It's about beagles and humans making friends and building a network.

Please come meet the adorable mutts of Muttville at our weekly adoption event! You just might find your new best friend!

Drop by anytime between 11am and 2pm on Saturday. And if you’ve already got your eye on one of the available mutts on our website, please fill in an application and let us know by emailing We’ll do our best to make sure that mutt will be there to meet you!

May 5th, 2024 - SF Chihuahua Meetup

Join us for the San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup!

We will meet at Stern Grove Dog Park from 12 noon until 2 pm. Lots of fun dogs and great people. Feel free to bring your favorite food (savory or sweet) to the meetup! There will be adoptable dogs from local rescue groups. 

May 5th, 2024 - Head West Marketplace

HEAD WEST is a Local Outdoor Marketplace of Makers, Merchants, Crafters, Designers + Artists rooted in the Bay Area of Northern California.


Casual walk to stretch out the legs for both your and your pups after a long day at work (or snoozing in bed). This pack walk welcomes dogs with various temperaments including mild dog reactivity for you as an owner to work on advocating for your dog's space and boundaries while helping them build confidence around other dogs.

This Pack Walk is ~ 3.0 miles in length on a flat Paved Surface offering little shade, but drinking fountains in two places.

GSDs one year or younger are encouraged to turn around at the 1/2 mile mark to prevent damage to developing bones, joints and muscles of the pups!

Busy weekends or just want to get your pup out for a mid-week stroll with other small dogs?

Join us for a short walk in the San Jose (Willow Glen) area.

The walk is simply a way for our dogs to warm up to one another and put their energy to good use. 

Come to the Amazing Dogs Adoption Event to bring your new doggies home. You can meet them first online, reserve them and bring them home at the event.

Join us at Pup Plaza for a creative experience with our friends at Manly Candles!

Discover the art of candle making as you craft your very own custom candle under the expert guidance of experienced artisans from Manly Candles.

Whether you're a seasoned candle enthusiast or a complete novice, this class is designed to ignite your creativity and spark your imagination.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but please note we will be working with hot wax.

Come and play with the dachshunds. We are here to let the dachshund ran and play with other dachshunds. Hope to see everyone there with your dachshunds.

Pleasant Hill Off the Grid brings a dash of spice to downtown Pleasant Hill with a huge variety of food options for the entire family. Add live entertainment, and you got yourself a perfect Wednesday evening!

Find a rotating selection of the region’s best food trucks every Wednesday from 5pm – 9pm. Family & pet friendly! Get your food to grab-and-go, bring a blanket, and eat picnic style on the lawn, or enjoy your food on the provided chairs and tables.

May 2nd, 2024 - Dog Foster Open House

Interested in learning more about fostering, or ready to pick up a foster dog?  Our foster coordinators or volunteers will match you with a foster dog who is suitable for your household.

Note that if you have a dog at home, or kids under 12, you have to bring them to meet your foster dog before taking the dog home.

Join Friends of Oakland Animal Services Ta-Paws Party for an evening of community and fundraising. Limited to guests 21 and over. Come with friends and join us for a memorable night of vegan tapas and drinks, a Spanish guitar performance, silent auction, and raffle to benefit Friends of Oakland Animal Services!

Join the Oakland Run Co. House Shake Out run with OAS foster dogs on Friday, May 3, starting at 8am at the Moxy Hotel. More details to come.

May 3rd, 2024 - First Friday Block Party

Donkey & Goat Winery is teaming up with Hammerling Wines, Broc Cellars, and Vinca Minor! We're inviting you to join us for our monthly TGIF Block Party! WE shut down our corner of 5th street so you can explore the many delights and delicious flavors of our minimal intervention wines alongside tasty treats from local pop-ups, artists, live music, and more!

This will have several adoptable dogs & puppies on site, as well as  merchandise. You know you need one of our 10-Year Anniversary Zip Hoodies & a trucker hat for your wardrobe - or our new black flowy tanks! We are also happy to chat with you about volunteering, fostering, training and adopting with us, so hope you can make it!

May 4th, 2024 - Billie Meetup in the Park

Come hang out with fellow bullies and their owners at James Kenny Park in Berkeley. Bring a blanket, dog toys, and your favorite english bulldog companion. Frenchies also welcome!

Come explore the wonders of the entire Bay Area both Urban hiking adventures and Hikes through the incredibly beautiful Regional Parks, State Parks, and Open Spaces.

The group is open to adults (20's-40's) who are physically fit, committed and show up (Intermediate to strong hikers) who enjoy social hiking experience, and meeting new people from all over the Bay Area.  Dogs are welcome on most of our hikes where the parks/trails permit.

Calling all Dachshunds, Half-Dachshunds, Part-Dachshunds of any ratio, Wiener Dogs, Sausage Dogs, Hot Dogs, dogs & humans identifying as Dachshunds and owners.

Come and meet up with Chilli and friends and their parents in a quiet Walnut Creek trail and let's exercise those little legs.

For those sausages that do not walk far, they can also stay in the meeting spot where parents socialize and chitchat.

Each year, East Bay SPCA’s Growl, Meow & Wine signature fundraiser celebrates the East Bay SPCA’s work and recent achievements made possible by the many donors, partners and friends like you.

There will be animal meet and greets, a silent and live auction with a variety of exclusive items to bid on, specialty hors d’oeuvres, craft beer, fine wine, and more!
